Euribor (Euro Interbank Offered Rate) is the euro zone's daily updated reference rate that large euro banks use when granting credit to each others. Euribor rates are referenced when pricing various money market contracts and for example commonly noted with mortgages. Euribors are based on fixed-term interest offers between banks and are decided by averages of periods of one week and 1-12 months. The lowest and highest 15 percents are ignored and an average is calculated for the rest. The interest will be decided upon the quotation of the selected period (1, 3, 6, 9 or 12 months). |
